Chaparral 2
Works Prototype II Shark-fin front fenders
Jim Hall remains one of the great innovators in motorsport. He
pushed the limits in a variety of areas: materials, construction, and
aerodynamics, of course! Witness the massive front spoilers mounted
low down on the front corners, designed to give the Texas racer
superior front-end grip. The Works Prototype II represents an
important phase in the ongoing evolution of the Chaparral 2: the front
fenders received "shark-fin" louvers to reduce air pressure beneath
the front of the car, thereby minimizing front-end lift and improving
high-speed handling.
This lovely replica finished in Chaparrals trademark silky white paint
still features all of the furious detail you've come to expect under a
purely aggressive skin. From pedals to engine and steering wheel to
tires, the Chaparral 2 Works Prototype II will take your breath away!
